Why keep a mood journal?
A mood journal can help you keep track of and express your feelings. It's one option for tracking your symptoms, but it can also be a cathartic release to help you cope. Keeping a mood journal regularly helps keep routine and can be something nice to look forward to after a tough day.

Use it as a place to release your emotions through any medium. If it helps you to paint, paint. If it helps you to write angry letters to all the people you tend to get mad at when you're in an episode, write angry letters. If it helps you to make a list of all the awesome things that happen each day, make a list. If you're stuck, some more ideas are listed below. Don't be afraid to mess around with your mood journal and try new things.
